To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to you at this time in my capacity as chief of the Vietnam Veterans Liaison Unit (VVLU) at the West LA VA Medical Center. VVLU is a special unit that treats POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISCORDER (PTSD) and among our clients are former Prisoners-of-War (POW’S). I am writing this letter on behalf of Mr. Marc Lerner, Director of Life Skills Seminars.
On October 4, 1985, Mr. Lerner presented one of his seminars to a group of former POW’S. The group is composed of POW’S from all eras who are dealing therapeutically with their POW experiences and here-and-now life problems. Mr. Lerner presented an informative, worthwhile, and meaningful seminar that was extremely well-received by these POW’S. Among the benefits received were a better sense of self and a feeling of contentment and tranquility. These POW’S were very enthusiastic about the work of Mr. Lerner.
Mr. Lerner continues to serve both the Vietnam Veterans and POW’s of VVLU. He is creative, interesting, and I believe that the clients of VVLU have benefited from his volunteer work. Please feel free to contact me at (213) 824-4411
Yours truly,
James Dwyer, MSW
